PROJECT 3A: OBJECT CREATION
Important Dates | |

Project Submission (P3a) | SEPTEMBER 30, 2013 (09.00am) |
Project 3 A offers us a chance to do something other than drawing
for studio, which was very nice. The theme given was Harmony and we were free
to use any material we desire. The first idea that came to me was to create
something of a liquid form,to produce a visual contrast since we are using
solid materials. I went through a lot of sketching and researching. I was going
to use satay sticks and form them into a wave-like structure.
A lot of cutting and gluing in the meantime…
Sadly, the end product wasn’t what I initially had in my mind. I
didn’t finish my sculpture in time as I over-estimated my stamina. This was how
it happened. I got stuck in the middle of the process and decided to let myself
take some time off (we were off to PIMPIN SISWA) before the submission, and
that was the worst decision ever. I was planning for a whole night of (last
minute) work before the submission day and I was so drained that I feel asleep,
on the floor, with my half complete model (T^T).
This photo was taken in a rush... |
The Dewan Kuliah was filled with many brilliant works by my course
mates and I was just regretful and somehow angry at myself. I had my lesson
learnt through this painful experience to improve my time management.
And here endeth Project 3A.
